The wide zipper elements are placed on the tape one by one, giving you a solid zipper that runs smoothly in two directions. The zipper elements are made of polished aluminum, a strong and lightweight material with a luxurious, matt appearance. You use this closed bottom (closed-end) zipper for applications where the two zipper parts remain attached to each other at the bottom, such as a bag.
